Welcome! I am Ashley.
Aaron and I were married April 16, 2010, which is also the day he graduated basic training for the Air Force and we began a different kind of lifestyle. Of course, we didn't have a fancy ceremony because well, we're just not fancy kind of people. :)
We found out we were expecting May 2, 2010! Only two short weeks after we were married, what a nice surprise!
We made the journey from the great state of Mississippi to California in June/July 2010.
Our blessing was born January 10, 2011, only two weeks late (sarcasm). :)
Just 8 short months after our first blessing was born, we found out we were expecting a second! Just after Emma's first birthday, we found out baby #2 would be a boy! And boy were they wrong! Baby GIRL Elliot (Ellie) came into the world May 30, 2012 one week before her due date!
A little sisterly love!
And a current of Emma!
Now here we are! I am a Stay at Home Mama, and I wouldn't change a thing about that. I am back in school, and I cannot wait graduate! Though, I will not be returning to work for a while. I want to enjoy my babies while they are little! I should graduate in 2013 with my BA in Child and Family Development with an emphasis in administration. I always knew I would love staying home with my children, but I didn't know I would actually get the opportunity. I am also a crafter who spends a lot of time sewing. I enjoy sewing things for the girls and for around the house! I have started a TINY, TINY home business making things for others! You can find me on Facebook by searching Homemade on the Homefront! I love animals and would have a houseful if I could, but obviously that's not realistic. Some would consider me a little OCD, like my husband. I clean A LOT! I am bothered by clutter and a dirty house. I have gotten a lot better since motherhood came along. There just isn't enough time for that anymore because I'd rather spend time with my babies. I am blogging to keep my family back in Mississippi up to date with our lives and also to share with friends a family a little about how we live. I am attempting to add more natural ways of living into our lives a little at a time! I am a proud cloth diapering, breastfeeding, organic baby food feeding, babywearing, and extended rearfacing mama!
